Sorry if you didn't get in for the FUN. Please don't just show up because we have a limit from the city for our event. Thanks for understanding in these different times! This is simply a social with no meeting agenda. July 2nd deadline for signing up. Significant others and children welcome! We will have a catered meal, beverages and plenty of space outdoors to distance! We can only have 15 in the bldg so, food will be picked up inside and most will eat outside. We are celebrating the end of Dan and Paul's service so, come show your appreciation for their hard work!

You are invited and encouraged to register to help pack 15,000 breakfasts for Harvest Pack on September 16 from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Wilds. We still need folks to pack. Please do your best to find 90 minutes to help. If will be extra awesome if you could also register an adult family member to help. This makes it easier for Harvest Pack to staff stations. They only put volunteers together at a station if they are related. Please read the packing info. at the end and click on the links to find out more about registering and packing protocol. So many things we planned to do or want to do have been curtailed because of the pandemic. This is a way we can still make a difference in a very safe environment. Contact Mary Haugen if you have questions. Details: 1. Harvest Pack is similar to Feed My Starviing Children except the meals we pack will be distributed locally. We will give them to R.O.C.K. and the Cap Agency. 2. We need 50 volunteers for 90 minutes. Adults only and we hope each club member who registers will also register one adult family member. 3. HP has a plan for packing that meets CDC guidelines. Masks are required. Packing stations are distanced and they put couples who are related together. Even if you say you don't mind working next to someone who is not related to you, HP cares. 4. We also need 3 more people to help set up starting at 3:00, Some of it involves moving tables and lifting supplies. There is a need for a couple of people to label bags as well. 5. We need a few folks to stay later to dismantle the packing stations and generally clean up. Please register and if you can help set up and/or clean up, note that in comments. When you register a guest, we will figure it out if you have the same last name but if not, please note in the comments that you are related to that person. This is a hands on activity that we can actually still do in this CoVid world. Please help. If you have questions, just ask. Thanks, Mary Haugen on behalf of the Community Service Team
HARVEST PACK INFORMATION SEPTEMBER 16, 2020 5:30-7:00 WILD’S BALLROOM Harvest Pack has tested and implemented strict protocol for packing that adheres to CDC guidelines. Please click on the link below to see how they arranged a packing event. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=996480987472499&extid=QjUUjveUKxyxScmg You’ll note that two people are at each station but that is because those two are related. Another packing was done with one person per station. We want to maximize the number of meals we pack so we hope when you register you add a family member who will pack with you. Adults only please. HP encourages everyone registering to complete the volunteer form in advance. This speeds up the whole process. Click on https://www.harvestpack.org/volunteer-agreement to complete the agreement. Harvest Pack has adapted their meal packaging model to follow CDC and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines for safe distancing and sanitation during the Covid-19 crisis. These include the following:
These adaptations are implemented in addition to their standard policies following FDA guidelines for food handling and preparation, which already include:
Registration procedure · Volunteers should wear masks & maintain 6’ distance while waiting in line While waiting in line, someone can distribute hair nets & volunteer agreements, to speed up the process · Temp checks will be done (with touchless thermometer) before entering o Temp must be 99.5 or under – tell volunteer their temp, then have them write it on the registration list next to their name · Check-in table (with registration list, including names, emails & phone numbers) o confirm contact info for contact tracing for each person participating · Sign/confirm info from release form (have blank copies of release forms, plus 2 boxes of pens, marked new & used) o If volunteer agreement was submitted online, confirm that they are still showing no signs of the virus – with their verbal confirmation, place check mark on registration form o If they didn’t complete the form, have them step to the side & complete it and turn it in now. · Volunteers should already have hair nets in place; once their hair/beard nets are secure, they should proceed to washing their hands or sanitize using wipes
